Pikitup, the waste management entity of Johannesburg,is inviting unemployed youth to be part of our exciting Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme! This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical job experience, helping you kickstart your career in a meaningful way.
What is the WIL Programme?
As a leading service provider in Johannesburg, Pikitup is committed to not only managing waste but also nurturing the next generation of professionals. Our WIL Programme aims to create a platform for students seeking hands-on exposure as part of their academic journey. This program responds to the growing need for practical training, which is often essential for graduation or as a stepping stone to future employment opportunities.
Who Can Apply?
We invite young individuals from Johannesburg to apply, provided you meet the following criteria:
- You are required to be 35 years of age or younger.
- You need to be a resident of Johannesburg.
- Applicants should not have participated in similar programs before.
- It is required that you hold South African citizenship.
- We are looking for unemployed individuals.
Programme Details
The WIL Programme runs for a maximum of 18 months, during which participants will have the opportunity to interview for positions as they become available within our organization. This is an incredible chance to gain insight into the operations of a major municipal entity while developing skills that will enhance your employability in the job market.
